IP44 chandeliers for bathrooms are just so hard to find. This one is strictly speaking not an IP44 chandelier but an IP44 semi-flush bathroom light as it has no chain but it looks like one and the amount of bathrooms that could take a long dropped pendant or chandelier, are few.

Many manufacturer's have chandeliers that could be modified for use in the bathroom, but the regulations stipulate a strict code. No moisture can ingress into the fitting internally, so every joint has to be sealed and no power connection can be susceptable to moisture. This fitting has been designed from it's conception to be a bathroom fitting.

This IP44 bathroom chandelier we would class as a middle market product. The cost is pretty good, particularly that there are not many other options like it on the bathroom lighting market. The level of detailing is satisfactory but not as good as a top end fitting, which is to be expected at this price. An example would be the method of fixing the backplate to the bracket on the wall is with two screws either side that can be seen, whereas a better designed solution would be to hide these.

A bathroom chandelier is a rare product and for the price it's an excellent choice to introduce some finery into the place of pampering.
